If you're looking for an onboard camera system for racing or rallying then look no further than the RACE edition of our Action Ready Package™. We've supplied almost everyone with this kit from single seater racers to teams doing the Dakar Rally.

What can I do with it?

With the 'Action Ready Package™ - 'RACE & RALLY' you can record:

  • - onboard video (roll bar mounting option supplied)

  • - car audio from the 'effects mic' ie engine note/revs etc

  • - pacenotes intercom audio (DVR can take a direct feed from compatable amps eg Peltor/Stilo)

 

How does it work?

Simply mount the camera in the desired position on the car and connect it to the DVR. Now plug in the supplied microphone and if required you can also connect it up to your intercom system. Now you are ready to start recording! There are 2 settings for recording:

1. Remote start - Start and stop recording using the supplied remote control.

2. Race/Rally mode - Have the system start up and record automatically using PowerStart.

 

Why the ARP™ RACE & RALLY?

Why not! Not only can you analyse each race or rally performance you can also use the onboard camera footage to entice new sponsors and on your website too should you have one. You can even show it off to your mates when you burn it onto DVD or put it on YouTube!

 

 

4Kam Dominator In-Car Camera -New for 2010

The view through the windscreen when using an in-car camera can sometimes look over-exposed so if you plan on using your Race and Rally ARP for in-car camera use then you might benefit from upgrading to our new Dominator camera. The Dominator has a configurable on screen digital menu which allows you to modify the camera settings in order to optimize it to your car and its location within.

 

You can upgrade from the standard 4Kam bullet camera to the Dominator camera for just £55 by selecting it in the drop down menu below. This upgrade is by no means essential but in some situations could prove very useful. Find out more about the 4Kam Dominator Camera.

The package comes with a 4Kam bullet camera and microphone along with our latest DV4 digital video recorder for DVD quality recordings. The DV4 also has an additional audio input for connecting up to your intercom system enabling you to record pace notes etc if required.

 

A wired remote control for operating the system is provided along with a 12v power cable which will enable you to power the camera from the vehicle. A roll bar mount is also included for the camera (be sure to check your required diameter before ordering!)

ARP RACE & RALLY2 comes with 1 x standard 4Kam bullet camera plus 1 x 4Kam WideBoy camera with wide angle lens. The WideBoy camera is ideal for using in-car while facing backwards to film the driver (& or co-driver).

 

Also supplied in this kit is our Quattro Processor. This allows you to select the main forward facing camera as the main video feed while having a smaller corner video feed showing the in-cockpit action.

The above scenerio is the most popular use of the kit but there are numerous other options such as using the wide angle camera to film rearwards behind the car or putting it down in the footwell to capture pedal movement. Either camera can also be used as the main video feed and the corner feed can be turned off if required giving you a straight forward switch between the 2 cameras.

 

A further 2 cameras of either style can be added to this package if required. These can be added at time of purchase or at a later date, contact us if you would like to do this.

 

 

NB. All of the extra components in ARP RACE & RALLY2 can be purchased separately. If you already have the standard kit or are thinking of buying it you can always add a switch and more cameras at a later time to give further functionality.
